Environmental Assessment

In February 2010, Tennessee was selected to receive funds to support the development of this project from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) Program as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared to meet National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) requirements. The DOT Federal Railroad Administration and Tennessee Department of Transportation are the lead agencies for the EA. The DOT Federal Highway Administration, Mississippi Department of Transportation, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are Cooperating Agencies.
