On December 30, 2020, at 4:55 p.m., EST, eastbound CSX hi-rail inspection truck was operating on the CSX Indianapolis Subdivision at Milepost (MP) BD 71.7, rear-ended a stopped train. The accident occurred in Connersville, Indiana, which is 54 miles east of Indianapolis, Indiana.
