Rail Passenger Corridors: Final Evaluation
This report presents the results of an evaluation of improved Rail Passenger Service in 25 corridors and corridor segments, pursuant to Section 1003 of the Rail Passenger Service Act, as amended. Corridor service is evaluated in terms of ridership potential, energy savings and cost effectiveness, where cost effectiveness is measured by dollars and public expenditure per passenger-mile and per gallon of gasoline saved.
